In the last few years I've come to respect my body and work for my health. Disordered eating & depression overcame my will to live a life worth living since I was a little girl. One day I decided : enough, I was ready to change.
On another day I met a teacher who told me this : 'Your depression will become one of your favorite things about yourself'. I wanted to punch him and cry, but I stayed calm and contemplated his words for days.
I realized he was trying to introduce the concept of spherical, holistic living. Not some new age, health nut diet or exercise plan, but a life that is truly whole. Life isn't pure joy and bliss and beach lying. It's pain and struggle and happiness and climbing mountains, then learning how to duck and tumble once you begin to fall down that slope. It's appreciating all of life's lessons and learning how to stay grounded, grateful, aware and in love with your (sometimes painful) journey all the way through.
Here live bits of my experiences and recipes I love to create, share, eat and photograph for your viewing pleasure!
With love & light
