CAFES ~

 

Deus Ex Machina The Temple of Enthusiasm - a Deus mecca. I couldn't believe the size of the restaurant, shop, barber shop, custom bike/surf shop, on & on. I actually planned my trip to Canggu to be sure I was there on a Tuesday to go to Deus for 'Taco & Tattuesday'! I got a taco platter, a Bintang, a shot & a tattoo (from a Balinese man who spoke no english and was indulging in chain smoking at large Bintang drinking) for 110,000RPH - about $8 USD. So crazy, so fun. Inked for eternity.

Crate - super cool atmosphere - surf/hipster vibe. Great coffee and cheap as healthy food.

Bangalow Living - atmosphere right out of your Pinterest dreams! And you're in luck because the cafe doubles as a home goods shop.

Green Ginger - vegetarian/Asian cuisine. So vibrant and delicious!

Warung's are where it's at - super cheap, supporting local families, traditional Indonesian food, perfect for the budget traveller

 

BEACHES ~

 

Berawa Beach - the only beach I hung out on. I was the only pedestrial in Canggu and I'm not exaggerating. The only beach I really had energy to hang out on. Have I mentioned how hot Bali is?! Berawa was a great spot to watch the waves play with the surfers (I was scared). Buy a coconut & rent a lounge w/ an umbrella for close to nothing.

 

PARTY ~

 

Old Man's - dance floor, Bintang, all you need in Canggu!

Deus - check their daily schedule events for something out of the ordinary... like a free tattoo w/ a side of taco.
